By installing, accessing, or using Website Modifier (the "Extension"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Extension.

2. Description of Service

Website Modifier is a Chrome browser extension that allows users to transform webpage content using AI-generated text and images via OpenAI's API. The Extension requires users to provide their own OpenAI API key.

3. License Grant

3.1 Free Version

You may use the Extension for free, but transformed pages will display a watermark.

3.2 Paid License

Upon payment of the one-time $5 fee, you receive a lifetime license that:

Removes watermarks from all transformed pages
Is non-transferable and for personal use only
Grants access to all future updates at no additional cost
May be used on multiple devices under your control

4. User Obligations

4.1 OpenAI API Key

You must:

Obtain your own OpenAI API key from platform.openai.com
Be responsible for all API usage costs charged by OpenAI
Keep your API key secure and confidential
Comply with OpenAI's Terms of Service and Usage Policies

4.2 Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

Use the Extension for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
Generate content that violates any laws or third-party rights
Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code
Share, sell, or distribute your license key
Remove or circumvent watermarks without a valid license
Use the Extension to create misleading, harmful, or fraudulent content
Violate any website's terms of service or copyright

5. Payment and Refunds

5.1 Payment

The lifetime license costs $5 (one-time payment)
Payment is processed securely via Stripe
All sales are in USD
License keys are delivered via email within minutes of purchase

5.2 No Refunds

All sales are final. We do not offer refunds. By purchasing a license, you acknowledge and agree to this no-refund policy.

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Our Rights

Website Modifier, including its code, design, and branding, is owned by us and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

6.2 Your Content

Content you generate using the Extension (via OpenAI's API) belongs to you, subject to OpenAI's terms. We do not claim ownership of your generated content.

6.3 Third-Party Content

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to transform and modify third-party website content. We are not responsible for any copyright infringement or violations.

7. Disclaimers

7.1 No Warranties

THE EXTENSION IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
Warranties that the Extension will be uninterrupted or error-free
Warranties regarding the accuracy or quality of AI-generated content

7.2 Third-Party Services

The Extension relies on third-party services (OpenAI, Stripe, Cloudflare). We are not responsible for:

Outages or downtime of these services
Changes to their pricing, terms, or availability
Quality or accuracy of AI-generated content from OpenAI

7.3 Content Accuracy

AI-generated content may be inaccurate, biased, or inappropriate. You are solely responsible for reviewing and verifying any content generated by the Extension.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
Damages resulting from use or inability to use the Extension
OpenAI API costs incurred by you
Content generated using the Extension
Any claims exceeding the amount you paid for your license ($5)

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

Your use of the Extension
Your violation of these Terms
Your violation of any third-party rights
Content you generate using the Extension

10. Termination

10.1 By You

You may stop using the Extension at any time by uninstalling it from your browser.

10.2 By Us

We reserve the right to:

Suspend or terminate your license for violations of these Terms
Discontinue the Extension at any time without notice
Revoke licenses obtained fraudulently or in violation of these Terms

10.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination, you must stop using the Extension. No refunds will be provided.

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective when posted with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the Extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

12. Changes to the Extension

We reserve the right to:

Modify, update, or discontinue features at any time
Change pricing for new customers (existing licenses remain valid)
Require updates to continue using the Extension

13. Privacy

Your use of the Extension is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review it to understand how we collect and use your information.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of [Your State], without regard to conflict of law principles.

15. Dispute Resolution
